The first orthodontist I took my son to — a CHOC Oral Facial Recommended Orthodontist — he asked me, 'Why Bother?' My son has Down syndrome and had severe oral sensitivities and did not like anybody in his mouth, and would not sit still for an initial exam with that doctor.

Fast Forward to Dr. Claro, and her amazing staff who patiently worked with my son, and continued to do the hard work in that small space even though he fought them. Within a few months of monthly adjustments my son was able to trust the staff and sit quietly and allow Dr. Claro and her staff to make adjustments and today he has beautiful, straight teeth, much improved speech intelligibility and a future of oral health ahead of him!
